March 2007 Official JSTOR Audit 99.8%
JSTOR staff audited the UC Libraries JSTOR Archive project in March of 2007. The result was an accuracy rate of 99.8%. The complete report will be available soon in the "Project Updates" of the "Project Info" section.
Project Updates

New Search screen added
The "Search Screen" connected to the tab above has been updated to reflect the second Phase of the UC/JSTOR archive project.

When you click on the tab you will be taken to the default setting of just the titles include in the "Phase 2" project. These are over 270 titles of new material that will be validated on a page by page basis and added to the Archive.

If you want to look at the "Phase 1" title list (the over 500 titles already added to the archive) just click on the link "Phase 1 Titles". To view all the titles either already included or to be included (Phase 1 and Phase 2) just click on the link "All Titles"

Moving Wall to keep moving
UC and JSTOR will continue to update the archive to include any new issues added to the JSTOR on-line catalog for any titles from either Phase 1 or Phase 2 contained in the archive.


Phase 2 to begin Mid 2007
UC Libraries and JSTOR have now entered into a new contract to include approximately 5,000,000 new pages (contained in over 270 new journal titles) in the archive. This "Phase 2" project will begin in mid 2007 and end in early 2008.

If anyone is interested in contributing clean, non-reprint journals to this project, please direct all inquires to John Doing. Clicking on SEARCH above will reveal a list of titles, and from there potential donors can check to see if particular volumes and issues have already been validated (click on the title, then note if the validated box is checked or not). UC Libraries and JSTOR to speak at NASIG
At this year's annual NASIG conference, there will be a Strategy Session for interested parties regarding our progress thus far. Speakers will include project manager Jeff Sundquist, UC Director of Shared Print Nancy Kushigian, Director of the Southern Regional Library Facility Colleen Carlton, and JSTOR Director of Production John Kiplinger. The session is Friday, May 5, 10:45-12:15, and it is repeated Saturday, May 6, 9:15-10:45. For more information, see the link below. Hope you can join us!
