Requesting SRLF Items
How to Request Materials from SRLF
Your relationship to the University of California will
determine how you request materials from the SRLF. Anyone,
regardless of affiliation, can come to the SRLF Monday through
Friday from 1pm-5pm to view or photocopy circulating SRLF
material. A valid UCLA library card is needed to check out
material.

UC Faculty, Staff, and Students (other
than UCLA)

affiliation)

Problems with making a Request?

UCLA
Library Cardholders may submit requests electronically
through the
UCLA Library Catalog, using the “Request” feature. Requests
submitted before 11 a.m., Monday through Friday, may be picked
up at the UCLA Library of choice after 4 p.m. the same day.
Requests submitted after 11 a.m. may be picked up after 4 p.m.
on the next working day. For specific instructions go to:

While SRLF-held journals can be sent for free to a UCLA
library in order for you to photocopy articles, UCLA also
offers Document Delivery for a fee for SRLF material:

UC Faculty,
Staff, and Students, (other than UCLA) may submit
requests for loans or document delivery of SRLF materials via
the
CDL\Melvyl Request system or through your campus
interlibrary loan service. SRLF staff respond to requests
received before 11 a.m., Monday through Friday, on the same day.
SRLF staff respond to requests received after 11 a.m. on the

Members of the
Public, who are not affiliated with the University of
California, may request loans or document delivery of SRLF
materials through a public, school, or corporate library. SRLF
charges a fee for service to these institutions which may or may
not be passed along to the patron.
You as an individual may also submit document delivery
requests directly to the SRLF via the UCLA Document Delivery
service for a fee:

Please do not FAX or Email any credit card
information directly to the SRLF.

Other Libraries
and Institutions (Non-University of California) may
request materials directly from the SRLF for a fee. Requests may
be sent to ZAS via OCLC, by fax (310) 206 5074, or via email
srlf-request@library.ucla.edu. SRLF staff respond to
requests received before 11 a.m., Monday through Friday, on the
same day. SRLF staff respond to requests received after 11 a.m.
