SRLF will be opening up to UCLA faculty, staff, students & affiliates only on Thursday, September 23rd, 2021. Observing UCLA campus public health requirements and presenting an active BruinCard will be required to enter the building.
Regular building hours Monday-Friday 1 PM to 5 PM will resume on Sept. 23rd.

Established in 1987, the Southern Regional Library Facility (known as the SRLF) provides space for University of California library materials, archives and manuscript collections.

Utilizing high-density shelving, the collections are stored in a climate-controlled environment that is designed to preserve the collections over time.

    SRLF Opens Sept. 23rd - Limited Access

    The Southern Regional Library Facility will reopen for onsite services on Thursday, September 23, 2021.

    Access will be limited to UCLA faculty, staff, students & affiliates only. Everyone visiting the SRLF will need to observe UCLA campus public health requirements and present an active BruinCard to enter the building.

    Our regular building hours will resume on Sept. 23rd.

    UC Library Search Launches

    The new UC Library Search that replaces the UCLA Catalog and Voyager services has been launched today.
    UCLA Library Catalog and Voyager apps have now been retired.

    Please visit the new UCLA UC Library Search site for more information:

    Search all UC Campus Library Catalogs by selecting the Search icon on the UC Library Search home page, then select "UC Libraries Catalog" from the drop-down options menu.

    SRLF Apps Retiring July 27th

    Several SRLF applications that retrieve data from UCLA Library Catalog will be retiring with the migration to UC Library Search on July 27th, 2021. The applications include SRLF Owning Unit Viewer, SRLF Serials Review Tool and the RLF Tool.

    UC Library Search Launches July 27, 2021

    On July 27, 2021, the libraries on all 10 University of California campuses will be connected through UC Library Search, a unified discovery and borrowing system. UCLA Library Catalog and UC's Melvyl will be retired and UC Library Search will become the UC-wide library catalog search tool.

    SRLF Visitor Parking Currently Unavailable for LOT 11

    IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT PARKING IN LOT 11: 

    Due to the dorm construction near LOT 11, visitor day passes are no longer available from the self-service pay stations for LOT 11. Please visit the Parking Kiosks on Westwood Blvd. either from the north in LOT 4 or from the south near the UCLA Police station. Ask to park in LOT 11, if at all possible, so you can visit SRLF. We are trying to resolve this with Parking Services and we will provide an update when there is a resolution for SRLF visits and parking.

    Parking in LOT 17 at the SRLF is not permitted without a valid LOT 17 permit. No Visitor or Cross Parking permits are available at this time.

    ViewScan Microfilm Scanner

    SRLF has a microfilm/microfiche digital scanner for public use. This scanner will scan microfilm, microfiche, film negatives & slides in black & white or in color for color film and slides.

    The ViewScan microfilm scanner will scan and save images to USB drive, Email or print to any campus WEPA printer. The scanner is available for free public use during regular public operating hours, Monday - Friday. Simple tutorial for use is available within the ViewScan software.
